By comparing the peaking sequence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) in environmental standards, it was found that the peaking sequence between HJ478, HJ647 and HJ784 was contradictory, which affected the judgement of the detectors and the correctness of the data. In order to guide the experimenters to produce the correct test results, the correct time and sequence of different substances in the peak order of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were determined by single-label experiments.
