Objective To investigate the applicability of the established quantitative detection system for the time-resolved fluoro-immunoassay (TRFIA) of deoxynivalenol, including TRFIA quantitative test strips and quantitative detector. Methods The limit of detection and limit of quantitative of the detection system were determined by detecting the content of deoxynivalenol in 20 negative samples. Totally 6 groups of wheat positive samples with different concentrations of deoxynivalenol and 6 groups of maize positive samples with different concentrations of deoxynivalenol were detected, in order to determine the accuracy and inter-station difference of the method. Through 6 times of detection of positive samples with middle concentration of deoxynivalenol, and detection of the positive samples with the national detection limit concentration for 12 consecutive hours, the repeatability of the system was determined. Results The limit of detection for this system was 154 μg/kg and limit of quantitation was 414 μg/kg, and there were no significant differences between detection value and fixed value and between instruments. The precision of the measured value did not exceed the requirements of national standards. Conclusion This verified deoxynivalenol time-resolved fluoro-immunoassay detection system can accurately detect the content of deoxygenated fusarium oxygenate in corn and wheat samples.
