Abstract:A power router based on the hybrid AC/DC microgrid framework is investigated as well as the analysis of operation modes and the design of related control strategies. Then in the power router system integrated with distributed generations (DGs) and energy storage unit (ESU), both modes of grid connected and islanded operation are simulated to verify the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed design. Furthermore, power feed-forward compensation is also introduced into the control loop of the inverter as well as ESU, which demonstrates the contribution of the communication mechanism to the power router system. The research results show that the presented electric power router can integrate various DGs, and will be a promising utilization scheme for renewable energy.
