Abstract::Reactor system is an essential section for the coal-fired chemical looping combustion process. It provides a place for oxygen carrier reaction, and the carrier oxygen could be transmitted between different reactors at a suitable rate for realizing the gas-solid separation and different property particles separation. Therefore, the design and research of the reactor system is a fundamental premise to realize coal-fired chemical looping combustion process. Herein, three important parts of the reactor system, namely air reactor, fuel reactor and carbon stripper, and overall circulation feature were studied. Meanwhile, the design method of coal-fired chemical looping combustion process was summarized. On this basis, 3 MWth coal-fired chemical looping combustion process was designed, which provided a foundation for the construction and operation of the coal-fired chemical looping combustion process.
